Matter - 

Anything that occupies space and has mass and it's felt by sense organs like eye ear skin, is is called matter.

Matter is is made up of particles

Example- books,pen, iron, air.

Physical nature of particles - 

- matter is made up of particles

- the particles of matter are very very small.

 Characteristics of particles - 

1- particles of matter are continuously moving

   -they  posses kinetic energy as temperature rises particles move faster.

2-particles of matter have space between them

  - particles of one type of matter gets into the space between particles of other example lemonade

3- particles of matter attract each other.

Space, kinetic energy, moment of particles

Minimum in solid, intermediate in liquid, maximum in gas

Force of attraction

Strongest in solid, intermediate in liquid, weakest in gas
