Evaporation
Changing of a liquid into gas at any temperature, bellow it's boiling point is called evaporation.
It's a surface phenomenon.
Factor effecting on evaporation
1- Increasing surface area -> increases evaporation
2- Increasing temperature - increases evaporation
3- Increase wind speed - increases evaporation
4- Increasing humidity ( degree of dampness of air ) - Decreases evaporation.
Evaporation causes cooling -
The particles of liquid absorb energy or heat from it's surrounding to break attraction force of the liquid particles to change liquid to vapour, the loss of energy from surrounding cause cooling.
Ex.
Acetone on our hand,
Wear cotton clothes in summer,
Often people sprinkle water on ground during summer.
Temperature conversation
C/100 = F-32/180 = K-273/100
